There is a nice mini guest suite within the clock tower at St. Pancras Station in London! It comes with bathroom, kitchen and sitting area; ok for 2 to 3 persons. It sits in Sir George Gilbert Scott’s Hotel – a gothic revival railway building from 1868. Average price per night: GBP107 (USD140).
Cubehouse, Rotterdam (Netherlands)
This weird cubehouse has three floors. On level 1 you will find a living room with TV and a fully equipped kitchen The second floor has the bedroom. There is the possibility for a 3rd and 4th person to stay with you. On the 3rd floor is a cosy living room with an awesome 360 degree view. Just in case you wonder: The cubehouse is approx. 1 hour away from Amsterdam, in case if you want to visit this tourist honey trap, too. This Mongolian national ger house situated very near from the city. From the final bus station you have to go by car 10 minutes and reach to Mongolian national ger. For your stay there a little farm is your, too. There are about 40 black yaks, 3 horses and 1 dog waiting for you. But be prepared: no electricity, no internet. Instead you get fresh air and a magnificent landscape = an excellent breakaway from busy daily life. One might experience more traditional ger stays with real nomads in the Gibi dessert or other more distant locations. But this is the best you can get near Ulan Bator for a relatively short period of stay in Mongolia. The price per night is very cheap: USD45.
