Tourist Rapist behind bars | Casey Terrell Miller from Miami is facing charges after he kidnapped, beat and raped a tourist who was walking back to her Fontainebleau Hotel. The 25 old rapist remained behind bars without bond Wednesday. It’s unknown if he’s hired an attorney. He will be charged for aggravated battery, armed kidnapping, and attempted sexual battery.
The victim – a woman from Georgia – left Mango’s Cafe at 900 Ocean Drive Friday night. She was on her way back to the hotel, when she was approached by Miller. The woman agreed to go with him to a bar for a drink. Next thing she remembered was being inside Miller’s apartment. She wanted to leave but Miller blocked the door. The rapist grabbed her, but she hit him with her cell phone. He then slammed her to the ground and beat her on the face, choked her and slammed her head into the floor before he raped her.
The woman said she remembered being in a stairwell then found herself in the Walgreens at 1011 Alton Rd, Miami. Walgreens workers called police. She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a fracture to her right forearm. Detectives used the victim’s description of the suspect to quickly identify the rapist, who lives just half a block away from that Walgreens. She identified him as the suspect in a photo lineup.
